In some industries it is required to be able to proof that a certain document (or a version of it) existed at a specific moment in time and has not been modified since then. If the number of documents is relatively low this can be solved by registering documents with a government institution (e.g., patent bureau), a notary, etc. But this is not scalable and potentially costly. Blockchain technology allows to make this proof publicly verifiable without the need of a middleman.

https://chainpoint.org offers an API to hash documents, timestamp proof the hash and anchor it to a blockchain. This needs to be integrated with ActiveScale to process newly written documents with the chainpoint API and attach the received proof to the documents.
