As a member of the competence group for core components, you will have an important contribution to make to the fundamental research, development and implementation of new, innovative designs and technologies for the next generations of compressors. Some examples hereof are new drive systems, inlet valves, oil separation systems, electronic thermostat valves and -housings, etc…
Internally you will cooperate closely with coworkers in your own team, with other divisions, among which Airtec and Service, as well as with the divisional engineering teams involved. They will use the new designs and technology, in the context of compressor redesign projects. Externally, you will maintain contacts with various international suppliers and research institutions.
You provide the necessary technical support to the various product companies for the components involved: advice on the use of these components in their application, calculations, technical design review and support in solving quality problems.
You take into account the modular strategy for future product developments and you ensure that the technical competence of the team is used optimally, so that products can be put on the market in the shortest possible time and with excellent quality.
You will also be closely involved in the evaluation of innovative ideas and new technologies for application in compressors. Energy efficiency, value creation for the customer and cost efficiency are central to this.
Your technical competence will focus on the following domains: general (electro) mechanical design, thermodynamics, pneumatics, mechanical drive technology, bearings and bearing arrangements, bearing lubrication, material knowledge, strength calculations and general operation and regulation of compressors.
